The AS 9100 D standard on quality management system requirements, is designated to be used at all levels of the supply chain. Its usage can result in improvement of quality, schedule and performance of cost. This AS 9100 D standard is mainly developed for the aviation, space and defence industry, but it can also be used in other industries.

The development and maintenance of AS 9100 D standard was made by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).
